Bernie Abramson

( 1923 - 2010 )

Bernie Abramson, a native of Los Angeles, served in the U.S. Navy as an aerial cameraman. After being released from the Navy at the end of World War II, he pursued his photographic activities as a photographer in the motion picture industry. It was on the production of Oceans 11 that Bernie became the favorite of the “Rat Pack” and was always invited (camera in tow) to their private functions. His career included those special behind-the-scenes celebrity photos of John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elizabeth Taylor, Tony Curtis, as well as many others.
