Ned Scott
Ned Scott was born in Paris, France, to American expatriate parents. He was educated in private schools in Europe and America, and later sent by his parents to Wyoming, where he began taking his first photographs. Later he accepted commercial photographic assignments in New York City. In 1934, he began his Hollywood photographic career. He moved to Santa Monica, becoming part of what was known as the “western bohemian” scene. During this time, Ned gained success and recognition as a photographer, working for a variety of studios and specializing in glamour portraiture.
